Who are we?
Glebe Symphonic Winds is one of the UK's leading wind orchestras. It was formed in 1998, initially by ex-university students from across the Midlands. The aim was to provide an ongoing opportunity for ensemble playing following graduation.
Today members continue to share the same desire to perform to a high standard but now travel from all over the country to rehearse once a month. Since its inception, Glebe Symphonic Winds has achieved major success at the National Concert Band Festival where it has been award four Gold medals. It released its debut CD in 2004 with an album dedicated to the music of English Composers.
